Although the weather wasn\u2019t the best, the pouring rain held off until the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud of how each and every member of my team stepped up and fully embraced the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, making it as near and dear to their hearts as it is to my own,\u201d said May. \u201cThey worked tirelessly to ensure that we executed a seamless and successful event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Special guests were past and current residents of the West Island Women\u2019s Shelter who dropped by to assist. \u201cThe impact of their presence was humbling,&nbsp;and reinforced the reasons why we continue to do all we can to help those in our community who need safe shelter from domestic violence,\u201d said May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds raised at this event will be directed to May\u2019s participation in the Sahara Desert Challenge for Shelter.
